What's Explorasound (beta)?
Explorasound is a digital DJ service, a web platform that makes the party, without any downloads nor Dj equipment. It's an online digital music website suggesting custom playlists by a song or a style you choose. Its recommandation system plays them for your home parties from a new automatic mix technology.

How does it work?
Just choose one track in the Search aera and Explorasound will automatically generate a playlist in a similar sound style.

Is Explorasound free?
It's free for the private beta-test period. In the future public release, there will be a paying version with plenty of new features to better organize and enjoy your party.

How can I participate to Explorasound improvement program?
We do, and will do, our best to provide the best experience for your playlist and party music. By becoming a beta-tester, you'll help us in this goal of quality of service. Your feedbacks are essential to improve Explorasound features in order your requests and needs. A Quality Forum will be there soon to gather all your suggestions.

What equipments do I need ? What is the minimal technical requirement?
- A recent computer running on Windows, Mac or Linux OS
- A broadband Internet access of at least 512 kbit/s
- compatible browsers : from Firefox 2.x or Internet Explorer 6, Flash Player version 9 minimum downloable here ( URL plugin flash )
- Any audio line out devices : multimedia speakers, headphones, Hi-Fi amplifier, etc...

Any kind of internet access are ok?
In demo version, Explorasound requests an Internet Access for our streaming service. We recommand to use a broadband access of at least 512 Kbit/s.

Can I use Explorasound in a place without Internet connexion?
No, you can only use the beta version online . In the future paying version, any registered user will be able to download its playlists on its desktop and play it within a 48 hours period .

What kind of music styles does Explorasound provide?
Among our hundreds of thousands of titles, any styles are there for any tastes! Classical, Jazz, Rock to dance, today's electro as 70's boogie classics and even french oldies !

Can I upload my own titles?
Not yet in the present version, it will be possible soon

Are there auto-produced and indie artists?
A great numbers of independant artists are already in our database. And you'll be soon able to upload your own favourite tracks for a more customizable listening experience.

What's a playlist?
It's an audio list composed by several titles.

How do I create my own playlist in Explorasound?
In random mode :
1) Choose one title or an artist in the Search tab
2) A playlist will be loaded automatically in auto-play
In manual mode :
1) Choose each title in the search tab
2) Click on (>>) icon "Add to this playlist" or (+) icon "Add to an created playlist" below the song

What's a Bigalist?
It's a thematic list (Disco-Funk, Electro, Pop, Dance..) of several hours of music to let you free during your party night ! Customize them by reordering, adding, cancelling any tracks and they'll save themselves automatically in your own playlists.

"Automatic DJ" button: what’s this?
By clicking on "Automatic DJ" button, several titles (featured in orange background) will be added after the last track. All suggested songs belong to the similar universe of the last played track.

Can I share my playlists with friends?
In the Beta Version, you can send your own playlists by email to a friend by clicking on the mail icon button below your playlist. In the official version, you'll be able to invite your friends and build all together the perfect playlist for your party. When you send them an invitation to listen to your personnal playlist, you sponsor your friend to enjoy Explorasound service.

Can I download my playlists on my computer?
Yes, it will be possible on the paying version. Collective playlists preparation isn't limited in time, but after you download and play it, you can keep your playlist for 48 hours only on your desktop or on any support (cd, dvd, SD card, Usb device..).

What will be the difference between Explorasound Free version and the paying one?
The free version will help you discovering the fantastic possibilities of an online musical website. You'll get more and more features on the paying version. During the beta-test phasis, it's free !

How to use Explorasound for a party?
Just like home, connect your sound system / speaker jack to the computer "line out" plug (often in green color or with a headphones symbol). We advise to use a long cable ( 2 meters at least) to fit with your party room space. With the actual Free version, you must have an Internet access to use Explorasound.
